Terms & Conditions

When booking Sussex Caterers for your event, the following key terms apply. Full Terms & Conditions are available to download below.

BOOKINGS & DEPOSITS

All bookings must be confirmed in writing. A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your event date. The remaining balance must be paid at least 15 banking days before the event, unless alternative terms have been agreed.

PRICING & VAT

All quotations are based on the information provided at the time of enquiry, including guest numbers, menu selection and venue details.

All prices are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated, and VAT will be applied at the prevailing UK rate at the time of invoicing.

GUEST NUMBERS

Final guest numbers must be confirmed 14 days prior to the event. Reductions after this date may still be charged at the previously confirmed number.

MENU & DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

Menus are subject to seasonal availability. We will always aim to accommodate dietary requirements where notified in advance, however food is prepared in environments where allergens may be present.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations must be made in writing.

More than 15 banking days before the event – loss of deposit only
14 banking days or less – 50% of the total event cost

EQUIPMENT & DAMAGE

Where crockery, glassware, linen or catering equipment is supplied, the client is responsible for these items during the event. A refundable equipment deposit may be required and damaged or missing items will be charged at replacement cost.

LIABILITY

Sussex Caterers will always make every effort to deliver your event as planned. However, we cannot be held responsible for delays or circumstances beyond our control including traffic disruption, venue issues or extreme weather.

MENU PRICING NOTICE

We offer diverse culinary inspirations to spark your imagination, but customisation is always an option. Have something different in mind? Just ask. We tailor menus to individual preferences and dietary needs (gluten-free, vegan, etc.). We believe everyone deserves to celebrate deliciously, so let us know your requirements, and we’ll make it happen.
